If you haven't heard by now, Local (to me) Favorite son, Indy Car driver Dan Wheldon lost his life yesterday.

He was the most genuine,kind and approachable figure in any sport I have ever had the fortune to meet.

May all here offer sympathy and the strength of their higher power to his family, and friends.

Sometimes there is only the width of hair's worth of reason that you die or walk away. Dan wasn't one of my favorite drivers . . . until yesterday. My condolences to family, friends and all who watched him race.
