Rerouting the PVC System

Anybody who has not seen my previous posts...

I may have blow by...trying to work all that out.

Anyway...I want to reroute my pvc system. All the directions I have been reading say plub the 3/8 hole and drill and tap a new one in the center of the plenum. How do I plug the first hole...where do I drill the second hole and how do I "tap" that hole?

After discussing the situation with several installers, the problem has been narrowed down to the PCV system. You can "Plug the 3/8" (pipe) thread hole in the rear of the plenum where the PCV

valve hose is connected" with a 3/8th in pipe plug avail at most hardware/plumbing supply stores

Drill and tap a 3/8" pipe thread hole in the center of the plenum and

thread the PCV connector into it. Get a pipe tap and proper size drill bit (from local hardware store, they have the charts showing tap & bit size) and drill where Ryan shoes in his pics. Tell em what you're doing; and keep metal fragments out of manifold when drilling and tapping; they're tell you how to do this with a small dab of vaseline or greae on bit/tap.

and one by Chris Chris writes; "...if u look down the Throttle body holes u can see that the left and right ports are seperated by a fin in the upper intake. i drilled a hole right between the fin which allows the oil blow by to be sucked evenly into the left and right of the motors cylinders..."

Hey...quick question...where is the center of the plenum...do I need to pull the motor to get to it in order to drill and tap? I have googled this and looked for pics...however im fairly new around cars and I do't know the proper names of a lot of stuff...but I could not find any good pics that made it clear.

Hey. I grabbed some pics of my current truck just to clear up some confusion. They are below

I pointed to the center of the plenum...correct?

When you "drill and tap" for the PVC right where my finger is...how deep do you actually go? I don't want to bust anything up.

; I use masking tape around dril bit so I don't over-drill; try no more than 1/4"

put vaseline (or grease) on tip of bit to catch metal shavings...use reverse to pull em out along w/bit. use greay Q tip or whatever to clean hole and later, da threads;; use grease on tap too
