i have moog in mine lifetime warrantee i think.... lots of pb and possibley a heat wrench. might as well do the 4X4 bearings while u have the spindle off and of course all new seals. also the end u-joints if u use the 4X4 alot. the inner u-joint u cant get out unless u take apart the front diff soo just mark the axle at where the slip joint is and reinstall in the same spot. mark the upper balljoint adjustment sleve so it gets put back in the same spot so no alignment is needed. Air hammer will work wounders to get things to loosen up if needed.

good luck. man other questions u have just post :)>-

Heat & air tools. Those usually do the trick but if the ball-joints have been in there long enuf & in a corossive environment then don't be surprised if you need a full-blown press to remove them. Harbor Freight & other discounters like Northern sell them for around $100, granted that's a bit pricey for a tool but there are some jobs that just flat out *need* a hydraulic press & it's like a welder, you don't need them often but when you *do* need one there's no substitute & if you have one you'll find plenty of other uses for it. Of course you can always bring the arms down to a local shop to have them pressed out as well, but that will probably cost you half of what a press of your own would. Chances are that you'll dodge the bullet and be able to get them out with heat, an air hammer & a regular joint-remover.
