I'm looking to purchase an '83 Bronco with the 300I6 in it that supposedly does not run very well for a decent price. I've been looking around for various choices for getting the engine rebuilt/a new engine in it.
Online, I have found Rhino Engines. They have a 3yr/100,000 mile warranty on them. The price is around 1550 + 125Core. Does anyone have any positive or negative experience with these guys?
Also, there's the Shucks/Kragen/Checker route. Their engine will run about $1650 (after core return) and have a 3yr/36000mi warranty. The 36000 vs 100,000 miles is really irrevelant to me since there's just no way I'll get close to 36,000 miles in 3 years.
Or for that price, is it best just to get it rebuilt locally?
Thanks
