If your're just talking about the third member thats easy!Disconnect the rear driveshaft.(make sure you put some tape or sumpin over your u-joint bearing endcaps,so they dont fall off),pull the rear wheels,take off the four axle retaining plate nuts and bolts,slide your axles out,loosen all the nuts and bolts from around your pumkin.(make sure you have a drip pan for the gear oil,and that sucker is heavier than it looks so be ready with help and a jack,to keep it from falling.You may have to get something to break the seal free,after 30 years some of them are glued tight.Its not very hard,I've done it about eight times,and I'm no mechanic.I need help on changing the rear gears. step by step from jacking it up and changing out the third member.
