I dropped the main and aux tanks in my 76 for a refurbish. The brackets that are bolted to the frame rails that "hold" the rear tank need the rubber pads replaced. And the same material that was on one of the 3 straps is missing I dont want to put my freshly painted tanks against those old crappers. I looked around on the net for cloth reinforced rubber sheet and prices are way to high. Anyone have any "good" ideas for a readily available, reinforced, and cheap rubber type material I could cut and glue to them? [-o<

Also..,

You can go to your local bowling alley...they replace/throw out the pin/ball conveyer belts. They're flexable yet nearly bullet-proof.

I've used it here-n-there for chaffing prevention.... :D/

AND IT'S FREEEEEE....!
