A few weeks back I had my truck in the shop to investigate a clunking noise in the rear. It happens sometimes when I start off the line, sometimes when I stop, and most viciously when I go from park to drive/reverse. For a while, I thought trans. But then when they checked it, they said it was "possible diff/possible clutch problem." It's kinda bothersome, I don't really want to drive it till it breaks. Would it be cheaper to fix or replace the rear? And how difficult could this possibly be?
