Hey all... I just got back from some real fun in a deep creek (water up to the bottom of the windshield) and in the process, I backed up a steep bank and bent my rear bumper on what I think was a rock.

I was just wondering if there was any way to get the exact same style bumper to replace it with.

I looked on Bronco Graveyard, and they have some OK ones, but I'd never be fully satisfied. Same with LMC Truck.

Would a junk yard be my best bet? Or are there places that make the same exact ones?

Thanks!!!

Hey Bubbas

There are a number of guys here that are parting out trucks, check them out.

Please put your truck's info in your signature file. Info such as year, engine, tire size, any mods, trans, and carbed of EFI would all be helpful.

My guess would be a ******* or a truck being parted out.

Good luck

joe

How about posting a picture of the bumper style you are trying to find, there are several types.

Good luck,

:)>-

Hey BUBBAS,

What year Bronco? I have one of of a '96 that is in pristine condition. I originally got it to replace my bent up bumper. But then I decided to just trim away the parts that allways got bent on the old one so now it is just taking up space in my shed. And I, too, live in Killeen. Also, if a '96 bumper is not what you need, you might try Budget Pick'n'pull on HWY 190 in Belton. There is also a good junkyard down in Briggs (about 20 miles south of Killeen) they charge a bit more than Budget, but they have been around a long time and have litteraly acres and acres of vehicles.

Hey, thanks for the replies guys... I should have known better than to not post specs lol.

1996 Bronco XL

Tires: 32x12

5.8L 351w

EFI

All body and engine stock except switched Rancho shocks and possibly springs.

Roadkill: is the bumper all there? What exactly did you trim out?

I had thought about going to Budget, but thought I'd post first to get the best answer before searching.

Seabronk: I'll try to post a picture later (I'm at work right now). But what I want is just a good step bumper that looks like it was stock.

Also, are the stock bumpers just silver, or are they chrome?

Thanks again!

The bumper in my shed is not trimmed at all. Here is a photo of it on the truck it came off of. (only blemish is the LSU sticker :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> )

He only removed it because he got a custom made bumper/tire carrier to replace it.

On my own bumper, I just trimmed of the parts that were allways getting caught and bent on things:

Hey Roadkill... I'm pretty sure I've met you before lol.

You may not remember, but about a month ago you came into Automax for the cruise control recall and I was the long haired kid drooling over your Bronco lol.

Well, two days after that, I finally got one lol.

But anyways, how much would you sell the one in your shed for?

Do you have the brackets and mounts as well or just the bumper?

Yeah, I remember you. :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> The bumper is complete with brackets. You can have it for the same price I got it for. FREE! It was given to me by someone who got it for free from the original owner, so I wouldn't feel right charging the next guy money for it. All you have to do is come pick it up. I'll send you a PM with my phone number.
