Rear brake conversion

I checked JBG for disc conversion kits, but they don't come with calipers. Fair enough, calpiers are easy enough to come across. My question is, is there a point to putting them on an 8.8, or will I have to switch THEM out for yet another set when I go to a 9" rear?
