Summit racing has a chip you can get for your Bronco but it's a "custom burnt" chip and runs around $400 or so. Good investment if you're doing and mods that the computer wont like.

thanks, bidi i'm just going for more hp and fuel saving and faster off the line. It just seems a little sluggish and i know i can get more out of that block than what it is doing now. and I KNOW IT'S NOT A RACECAR but it just want a better acceleration overall. I'm working around the metro area when I'm not home and want it to be faster getting into the road. and my direction is basically where yours is now with your mods.

As far as I know I have no chip however I belive my O2 sensor has been eliminated. I have a mild cam and intake with the bigger throttle body and acording to the people on fullsizebronco.com my truck shouldn't run. I did however "think" I had 24# injectors on my motor (a "good" mechanic had told me that before I knew better) and a kid at autozone swore they were stock 19# so I ran the numbers on the injectors and low and behold, they're stock. I'll tell you though, the mods I have are some pretty cool mods and when timed right (didn't tighten the dizzy down after great timeing thanks to an older fellow) it'll burn 33x12.50's just by mashing the loud pedal. It doesn't do it like a drag car but it'll sure get it if you don't back pedal a bit. I put my truck against my buddies 00 Grand Prix GTP (supercharged) and from the line I had him untill around 40 but then he just ran all over me. Not to bad for a 2 and a half ton 4x4 though. I understand my truck isn't a race car too but I love the loud pedal and I think I was born with lead bones in my right foot. It'll get-r-done trying to get on the interstate too, no problem there. It'll actually out eccelerat my wifes 96 crown vic old sherrifs car. Not to shabby...

that's kinda funny about the crown vic. my girl has a grand marquis. it's on it's last leg though. we are working on getting her a bronco too. I found a 1984ish Bronco Ranger with the pony on the side. It's red and tan with only 80,000 orig miles on it for 5,000. We are going to go and look at it again and take a drive. Oh btw how do your wheels do at full lock? I was wanting to upgrade to the 15x10 MT semi locks when I get my card paid down. Thanks.

They do fine at full lock. I've only had any rub when I had 33's but it was about 1/8 inch on the bumper and no where else. I'm not sure what the backspacing is on them though. It looks like a decent amount but I'm not sure how to measure that...
