I am currently working on my wife's 93 Bronco with a 351. It has a water leak. The part that is leaking is a two inch tall hex piece that the coolant temp sensor screws into. Also the throttle body has a small rubber hose running to it. I have searched a number of sources to try to find the proper teminology for it without success. Also if you know what this is, do you know if there is anything special about removing it. It has a foot long metal tube coming out the side that the heater core hose attaches to. There doesn't appear to be any way to unscrew it without cutting the tbe off. Any help will be appreciated.

i dont have a 351 but if you took a picture of it i might be able to help you out. If i had to guess what your talking about is this.

This part is the water outlet. Your thermostat would be behind this. The same part on my 300 has a long metal tube but the one pictured is for a 93 bronco with a 351 and it does not have the tube you speak of.

very strange. thats your temp sending unit and i thought they just screwed right into the manifold or block on all the engines and the heater core was supplied by the lines off the tstat housing/water pump.

I bet if you hold the hex area with one wrench and turn the nut below the hose/outlet with another wrench that its actually a swivel fitting. Does your water pump or tstat housing have any lines that are capped off where you could supply your heater core from?

that part may be a junkyard or dealer only item.

Try and get that from a dealer...slim to none; these thAngs are the type that prob wasn't even stocked by regional warehouses back in-da day; so..see what a dude (bottlefed70) did on his 302

this is a vg diy example! just add another t; or to get it to fit in that tight space, maybe insert a 90 w/hose barb & hose in there and get it to run where you have more room to make up a little manifold w/right size ******* and a female threaded piece for da sensor.
