Ok my friend use to make these custom bumpers and then paint them with this paint that when it dried it was rock hard. he hit it with a hammer and it would not chip. For the life of me I cant remember the name of it and I cant get ahold of my Friend. I was hoping someone here could help. I know they use to buy it in a quart can from home depot.

Thanks

I'm not sure if you are thinking of Hammer finish. I think it's made by Rustolem and it comes in cans and spray cans. I have used it on machinery and it hardens well.

okay i don't know about buying it in home depot but i do know this they have a product out on the market that people use to do their undercarriages and frames it seals in any rot and it brushes on like a black glossy finish. they use to use it on bridges to seal the beams. It becomes rock hard when dry and it doesn't chip, fade, and the rot won't come back through. Its called por15 i once saw it at the big e in mass. at a vender but you can purchase it at your local autobody supplier.it usually goes for at least 35 dollars a quart. but that is near my way.I know they are having a swap meet at lake compounce it bristol connecticut this sunday coming up and sometimes they have a vender there that sell the complete line of products. compounce is 10 dollars a person this year they went up on there fee of 5 from the previous years. hope i helped alittle
