I have a 79 Bronco with a 400 .The oil pump locked up and it sheared the oil pump drive shaft. I replaced them both fired her up but no oil pressure and timing seemed off .Is it possible that my distributor is damaged and causing this?

I'd pull the distributor and check it. Maybe the hex corners where it engages the pump shaft rounded off when the pump seized, or maybe it cracked. As for the timing, the only thing I can think of is the timing chain may be really worn, and the seize caused it to jump a tooth. If there are plastic teeth on the timing set, they may be damaged, too.
