Oil Pressure guage

Hey everyone im making some more upgrades to my 1992 Bronco Xlt right now my oil pressure gauge dosnt work at all and instead of fixing that electric one i rather just put a Mechanical one but right now im trying to decide between what amout PSI i want to get....I Think im going to go with the Pro Comp brand Liquied filled but i dont know if i should get a 100psi 200 psi, 300 psi 400 psi or 600psi guage....so what do you all think please hit me up and let me know thanx

The 100 psi one is plenty, You should at highest be somewhere around 20. I dont remember the correct number, but its not more than that.

yes 100PSI is fine if its a good running motor with a strong pump you should get around 70 cold and 30-40 warm

Oil pressure is simple. 10 psi for every thousand rpms.

Never heard that one, but that is about what mine runs once it is up to temperature.

That is comforting to know, I use to get nervous about the pressure being down around 6 lbs at idle but since there was no knocking noise I figured it was just fine. Submit that for our new FAQ section so I don't forget it. A lot of people get nervous about the reading on their gauge.

Try the sending unit, it is inexpensive. Another option is to install a wet gauge, they read in PSI instead of just a relative position on the dial like the stock one does.
