The owner said it would die sometimes. After saveing it from the crusher. I drove it home for $200. New rear pump and sending unit, it sank.. She had set for about 3 years full of brown gas...

Changed injectors after cleaning tank. Two pumps but only one rear filter on this one... Still blowing alot of black smoke I started looking at other areas and found the O2 sensor rubbing

******* the header pipe. All 3 wires were worn near in half .. After unhooking the dead short engine runs the same with O2 unplugged. Will test volts at plug tomorrow.... Do I need to plan on changing the PCM? More than about one amp will take them out as i remember? Other than that just need to charge the A/C

Thanks Penrod

I would just change the O2 sensor and make any necessary repairs to the wiring. Then see where you are after that. You should be able to find some heat shield covering for the wires at a local parts supplier to cover the wires with.

Good luck,

:)>-

No such luck, change O2 still the same. Unable to get any voltage at plug. Ordered in a reman PCM unit "$110.00" 3 days out, will see.

Luckly the wire damage was on the sensor side of the plug....
