Ok this is what I got.. I have a 95 Bronco 5.0liter, w/ E4OD. I have spent a ton of money restoring and upgrading. I am having a starting problem. It takes for ever to start, like 10 sec. of steady turning over. After it starts it runs fine. I am also getting 2 codes. 211 and 332. The 332 I have replaced with new EGR valve and solenoid on top. Checked vaccum lines going to EGR valve and found no leaks. As far as 211 I have done nothing. I did replace distributor and TFI module but that doesnt mean they are good. Any ideas and where to start or what to do to solve these codes. Also, FP is 38 with key on engine off and 31 with engine running.. Pressure does raise under throttle. I have reset codes by disconnecting battery numerous times but codes keep coming back after a few min. of run time... Thanks in advance for any information.

Well, I don't know the codes off the top of my head so unless you clue us in I have no idea what the numbers mean. Admittedly most of my exp is with the big 78/79's but I DO know that if the codes keep coming back the disconnecting the battery won't do jack. As for the 332, you replaced what I assume are the refrenced aprts, so does that code come back or just the 211 ? Just what does the 221 refer to ? I have a code reader but it doesn't seem to have a library function so I'm kinda shooting blanks here. A bit more info will help figure this out.

Oh I forgot to mention. Both codes are present. I have reset numerous times and both keep coming back. After the EGR replacement it took a day or so for that code to come back. Since Code 211 has popped up it hasnt went away. Thanks for the replies.

Did you also replace the ignition module ? You may have a dead igniton module. Easy to check with a 12 volt test light: On the coil primary there are two wires, one is red. Make sure you have voltage at this wire with the key on, then probe the other wire, usually green, crank the engine and this circuit should blink. If it doesn't, make sure the distributor turns, if it does then replace the ignition module and the stator inside the distributor. Since you've replaced the stator look to the module for problems.

I'd suggest using Motorcraft or Ford parts. The aftermarket modules can be a problem as far as reliability goes. If the distributor doesn't turn when you crank the engine, then you may have a timing gear problem.

I have replaced the TFI module which is located on the firewall, drivers side on my truck. Also, I have somewhat checked the wiring harness from the module to distributor. EYES only. No meter. I am waiting now on time so I can start ohming out everything.
