I've been waiting 40 years to get this baby; and I just got it on trade for my beautiful '63 Falcon convertible.

It is a true Sport SUV-P/U model w/o any holes drilled for rear seat or roll bar... etc...

It is beautiful; laser straight; no rust; new shiny paint; 3.5" lift; standard Bench seat.

It has P/S w/GM tilt; Power (front) Disk Brakes; 3-Speed A/T; stock 289/V8;

and aftermarket fiberglass half-cab.

It came with 20" highly polished wheels; and Good-Year Wrangler HP tires: M+S P275/60 R20's.

A super smooth ride on the freeway at 85 MPH! :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I just swap them wheels / tires for BF Goodrich Radial Mud-Terrain T/A's: 35 X 12.50 R 15 LT.

I'm gotten it into my head that I want to race it at next year's Baja 1000.

However, the PO, a friend, tells me that I'd have to spend LOTS 'o cash before I can

even think on doing this..!

My Master mechanic leans toward the same advice.

So, where do I go from here?

I suppose that I can do the Southern Califrikinfornia weekend warrior trails?

I just purchased a beautiful set of bucket seats out of a 67' Mustang;

a mahogany Grant steering wheel; and the matching upholstery for the rear seat.

I purchased another set of Bronco original buckets w/a "modified" rear seat;

but w/o arm rests... I'll wait to find a stock one.

I might trade these seats for other Bronco stuff.

I want a roll bar and a bikini top too...

So; if the Baja 1000 is out of the question, then I'll go with other comforts;

like Full canvas Black top and A/C for the wife?

What do you think? Emails are welcome! :rolleyes:
