the guy before me cut the exhaust off my bronco a few inches after the catty. i was just curious as to if when i am welding on a new muffler if there needs to be a certain amount of distance between the muffler and cat. because i was planning on shooting the exhaust out before the passenger side tire.

thanks!

I just did the same to my 94- I haven't had any problems with the muffler mounted rite on the cat- use some black high temp spray paint on the inside of the tail pipe- it will last longer and look better-

ok thanks alot man. to be honest i dont think im going to be keeping the bronco for much longer. im just getting her street legal so i can trade her :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Gona end up trading it for a 1965 Ford Fairlane 500. Needin a 4 door and the 23mpg helps since im still in school.

im sad to be getting rid of her, but there are alot more broncos out thre i can get my hands on when i make it bak out into the country :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

at least im keepin it a Ford though instead of a Honda.

ok well 23 on a good day haha.

200cid I-6

Head off a '72 (larger intake and exhaust)

2bbl carb

Performance manifold, rest of the exhaust is made up of straight pipes and a glass pack muffler

The front fenders and hood have been replaced with Fiberglass, ect

It gets 23mph on the high way when you put the high gas in it and put some of the jegs octane boost stuff :p believe it or not

even if it does get that good of gas mileage im not looking forward to parting with my bronco. if i was to put on some street tires, no ift kit, K&N intake, good exhaust, ect, what kind of mileage could i expect? im needing something around at least 15. the bronco is being garaged, and ive been working on the wiring for quite some time, so i havent gotten her street legal yet or done much driving so i dont know hat to expect.

I get around 13 when im driving light footed. Keep it tuned and light on the gas, 15 is iffy to get especially depending on how worn and beaten up it was before you got it...

On the open highway, I get just over 15 mpg if I stay at or under 70 mph. In town, I rarely get over 12. I'm sure those numbers are acurate for mine because I keep a very detailed log book, every drop of oil or gas, every new part, even how often the tires are aired up goes in there.
