motor swap

going to swap to a 351w in my 76, will the original c-4 & dana 20 tcase handle the extra torque? Would it be better to stick with a 302? Any suggestions on which is the best motor swap for ease of install & power gains? Thx.

Depends on how you use it...The D-20 is fine. If you are rock'n & mudd'n ...a C-6 might be in order.

IMHO.., yes....for a bunch of reasons.

how hard is it to convert to a c-6? what kind of 302 would be the best to switch to? Working on a tight budget so looking to buy a used motor for now. I assume a mustang 5.0HO would be a pretty good motor. What year is the best to harvest from? If EFI can the whole setup be swapped?

Yes it can.

Original motor still, burns lots of oil, runs rough in N & then stalls all the time when put into gear, have to put it in 4L just to get it to move, all kinds of ticking coming from the heads, would assume they are toast. The motor has never been strong, lacked power in 2 & 4H. Always used 4L for wheelin. I would think a good 302 should be able to turn 33's.

You bet..! A fresh 302 will suprise you to no end...(especially compared to the condition of your present mill.)

I was recommending a stock 302.

Did some research on site & came up with 88-93 car motor for a good EFI 5.0, this is supposed to have the mass air sensor which is better, anything besides a Mustang that would be a good donor vehicle? Is my info correct?

Yes it can.

Rebuild your present motor if you can or save it until you can. If you put in a used motor, you dont know how long it will last assuming if it hasnt been gone through. I bought a used 302 for my F-100 and lost a main bearing 2 weeks later. I have to agree with bullybob, a fresh 302 will spin 33's. hope the info helps.
