OK guys, want to start putting a little money into the 302 EFI to get more power out of it. So far, completely stock. Any ideas on where to start and what to do. Looking to spend maybe around a grand. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I put a K&N on mine along with a cat-back Flowmaster exhaust the same day. I got a noticeable increase in throttle response. I'm not sure if it was more from the intake or exhaust. (probably both since getting more air in won't do any good if you can't get it back out). Gas milage went from 12 to 15 on the open highway. Still sucks in town though; probably cause I tend to take off a little quicker from stop lights now.
