Ale. I think you have the answer to your question: new gears, like a 4.88:1 ratio. I just bought a set of 4.56:1 gears for my 84 Bronco on 35's from 4WheelParts. They are Genuine brand with a lifetime warranty. For both axles and the install kits was like $460, and a new carrier for the front is another $60 on ebay. Think also about traction aides if you plan to do much offroading. Since I have a Ford 9" rear axle, I bought a $30 mini-spool for it. And since I am offroad-only, thinking of getting a full spool for the front axle ($90). A Detroit locker or Trac-Loc may be better depending on your type of driving and how much street use you have. I could probably set you up with a 460, if that's your thing-would most likely require a lot of luv, but they have cheap blocks where I'm from.
