Mine mount 4.5 in. below hood/fender seam...&....1 in. in front of the door seam. Door or doorless, work fine.

But sorry, no pics yet.....gotta get to big town & get a camera one day..

what about drilling & tapping the windshield and doing a J**p style mirror? I have seen that on an EB and it doesn't look too bad.

-----"What kind of mirrors did you use? How long is the stem?"-----

I'm 99% sure it's a factory 1966 Br. mirror.

It's a '66 Roadster....never had doors so Ford mounted it on the fender.

(There is a backing (approx. 4"x4") plate on the back side of the mount, inside fender. That tells me it's factory)

The mount is large & strong. 3"x3" ...the stem is 8" & is adj. via the bottom bolt.

I was able to duplicate the mount, & build one for the pass. side....just haven't finished it yet.

The stem is simple tubing...flattened on both ends.

"What did you use and where did you get them?"

Look two posts up.....

Ford placed mirror on fender so it is still usable with windshield dropped down.

They're small enough not to look like "s*^t on a white chicken."...!

Never get caught on brush, etc.
