I'm looking at a 2-tone 78 with 4" of lift, 35" tires. It's brown and white, and in immaculate condition as far as paint/exterior. One small rust spot about half the size of a CD on one door. The interior is basically showroom quality. 400 V8 runs well, with 96,000 original miles and so far as I can tell the rust is the only thing that needs fixing.

It's my brother in law's truck, and he says he'll let it go for $3000. I wish I had taken some pictures this weekend when I looked it at. I'm pretty set on buying it, and I feel like it's a pretty fair price for the condition it's in.

So what are your thoughts? Thanks for the advice and nice forum you have here.

78/79 are nice trucks! From what you said about its condition, I'd probably give the $3000.00 for it.

Good luck,

:)>-

I'd try to talk him down a little if it were me. I gave $1500 for mine and its probably not as nice as this one but its in pretty good shape for its age.
