In one of my recent Business classes we read an essay by the owner of GM. He had eight rules to manage effictivly. One of the rules was. "Ask questions" following this he said "you have to be completly comfortable being the dumbest person in the room." Just thought I would share that tid-bit being I am asking yet another question :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I want to lift 2" (only because there is already 2" on the back and I dont have the funds to go to 4"). I cant find a 2" lift kit anywhere. Only leveling kits? its 4x4 and I know there is more to it than putting in shocks and new coils or is there? is this even practical?

sooner or later I will stop asking questions.....maybe not :-"

thanks

To my knowledge there isnt a 2 inch lift avaliable for 80-96 broncos. I say loose the 2 inches in the rear and save up for the 4 inch lift.

Search around someone does make one I found one at the scrap yard one time on a 94 F 150 it was an actual 2 inch lift had drop brackets for the TTB and radious arms the whole thing . I for one couldnt figure out why someone would go through that much effort to raise the truck 2 inches when 4 would be a better way to go . I put a 6 inch superlift on my 89 and in one year it has settled to a 4 inch maybe even less in the front ( was kinda dissapointed in this being it was brand new superlift springs all round ) . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

you could get daystar coil spacers to get around 1.5-2" of lift you also need adjusting cams for the upper balljoints. you will need new shocks but no drop brackets for the "traction beams" or radius arms. i have em on my 96 f150 and the truck sits perfectly level with the stock rear suspension after my 4x4x 1/4" tube bumper grillgaurd and 9500 winch. i think the spacers are right around $100 superlift also makes the upper balljoint cams that haev more adjustment than the average alignment shop wuold have.

Yeah the coil spring spacers work too I am fixing to do that to mine , I got them from a place called jeepers creepers in MI , I found them on ebay go to ebay motors and do a search for coil spring spacers and youll find it . The guys name is Kevin and it runs around $77 for the spacers ( choice of color ) and the stud extenders a must if your truck has a front sway bar . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

The only reason I dont want to go with the 4" is the cost...your looking at $4-600 for the lift kit than an adittional $4-600 for new tires so that the truck dosent look like an elephant on ice skates :)) . I have 31's which match nicely with the 2" on the back. So do you think that this coil spring spacer will bring it up to match the back?

An additional question for thought...can driving at a slope like that (back 2 inces higher) damage the block? I was thinking it may settle fluids in the wrong places and therefore causing some of the engine groans I am ecperiencing...opnions?
