I have a 72 that has not been cut. I was thinking about a 3 1/2" susp. lift with a 2" body lift. I have looked at James Duff, Wildhorses4x4 and bcbroncos at their susp. lifts. Which gives more bang for the buck? And, would the body and susp. be the best way to go?

Body & susp is all an opinion on what you want to do with it. With both installed, you can get the bigger tires under it a lot easier. W/just one or the other lift, you are limited as to what size tire you can go with. If you are wanting to get offroad performance out of this, I would go susp. first and then body.

Any of the three companies have very good systems. Duff seems to be a little more proud of their stuff than the other two. Besides, you can get new leafs from WH for the same price as an add-a-leaf system from Duff. BC doesnt give a full "system" price on their site, but I would be inclined to call them and ask what their comparable equipment would run. But either way, I would say go WH or BC for your susp. lift. There is your more bang for the buck, but that is my opinion.

Thanks, that is exactly what I am looking for. Other opinions. I am looking to take her off road and I do want the performance. But, I am not planning on getting crazy with it. I want something that can take on the fairly rough trails but no extreme.

I have heard differing opinions on duel and single shocks also. What do you think?

I have heard both good and bad about dual shocks. I run single and have never ran or driven a vehicle w/duals. Personally, I think that if you get a set of RS9000s you will be fine with single shocks. IMO, duals are more for someone who is A) going for the WOAAAAAHHH factor or B) they need the dampining of duals. That being said, and I am sure someone will dispute this, I think that dual shocks is a waste of money and a waste of resources for someone who is not a desert or rock racer.

I agree about single shocks. Duff makes a good 70/30 thats cheap and works well. All three mfgs suspensions work about the same. I did find Duff's coils had more drop than the wildhorses I ran before but they handled the same. Never tried BC's but heard good things.

Thanks for the input Guys. Looks like it is time to start taking her apart to put her back together.
