I noticed as I was ripping out my headliner that under the dome lamp there is a hole that I can see daylight thru, its a perfect circle about the size of a nickel, looks factory to me.

anyhow im sure that cant be good if it rains, which is doesnt do much here in the desert

also wanted to mention that if you take the headliner out and clean the roof, it looks so badass, sort of industrial, I will take pics and post them

A buddy of mine had a '91 that was one of those government trucks. It had a little flashing yellow light on top right above the dome light. When we rebuilt his truck and took the light off, there was a circular hole underneath just like you're talking about. We just patched it up, sanded and re-painted and you couldn't tell it was there.

Can you see the hole from the top of the roof?

I think that is for a FORD exclusive product. I had one in my Ford Cougar. It is suppossed to be fitted with a one way steam release valve. It is a pressure release valve so that when some ***** cuts you off in traffic, and steps on his brakes, that you don't liltterally blow the top off of the back of your truck. All of your road rage steam can go right out that valve. Not all Broncos have that, and it might be hard to find a replacement. Most guys just ride with their windows open a bit.

The part would look something like this.

This is an over pressure regulator for a Presto Pressure Cooker.
