Please can someone give the part # for the colored retainer clips or plugs that hold the trim in for the top. I have the crystal blue interior and pretty much broke all of mine taking the top off and I would like some new ones. So before I go in to the local dealer and pull out my hair does anyone have a part #. BTW I did to a search because I remember someone else having the same problem, but couldn't find it, and Broncograveyard does not carry them. I called. Thanks in advance.

yo,

I bought the retainers from Ford... pn matched up to what I found in my www searches, and was = to what the Ford parts dude looked up in his assets. But the "stem" was too narrow to hold the trim w/out squeaks.

I tried a few at NAPA etc but they don't fit well and cause squeaks so we used Velcro strips to re-mount the trim; cut-off the serrated bottoms & used the tops of da Retainers - glued em on da trim w/Craft Glue to cover da holes.

Northland Fasteners makes alot of these fasteners, but all, come in black; I looked it up once and believe the correct size is Xmas Tree, part # N19374 for my Mocha Tan trim.

Use their advanced search feature once you get the correct pn from Ford; in the adv search make sure you check "Check This Box When Searching For OEM Numbers"...For instance, Ford part number N808658-SSD is for Mocha Tan

Some dudes say they have used vinyl dye to color the black.

Yep that's about right...you can't get those clips from ford anymore there discountinued....and like miesk5 was say most all other companies only offer them in black and you'll have to have the spray dye'd to get the color correct.... B)

Thanks. My local Ford dealer and Napa seem to have them, but I haven't sized one up yet, and yes they are it black, but one of our Napa stores apparently can make me up a vinyl paint rattle can. I will see this week as the top needs to go on since it looks like the summer is pretty much gone here. First serious rain today in about 12 weeks.
