Hmmm, when you cut your fenders, do it while you are on concrete, or black top, that way the engine won't get muddy at all.i have a 6 inch lift and 35s but am soon going to 37s so i want to cut my fenders but dont want my fuelinjected engine to get covered with mud

I'm just guessing here... but cutting the fenders won't reflect more mud inside the engine compartment, unless you also cut back the wheel well.
One thing I can suggest (from my very little experience with mudding) is to consider getting an electric fan cooling system. This way you can switch it off before you hit a big puddle. Last time I went out, my fan threw muddy water all over the engine compartment, It would have been a lot cleaner if I could have switched it off.
