Hey nice rack!!!

i was thinking of putting a snowboard rack on the top of my bronco. is that hard to do myself and does it matter what brand of rack i get? or what? if ya'll have anything that might help with this endevor it would be greatly appreciated. muchas gracias.

Do a search on Roof rack in this forum and you will get several hits. Here is one http://www.off-road.com/ford/bigbroncos/tech/rack/index.html . Basically you need to do something inside to strengthen it since the cap is fiberglass.

strengthen the top? even if im just putting snowboards up? snowboards arent that heavy though.

It's not the weight. Look at the pictures in the post I gave you. It is to secure the rack on the fiberglass top. Bolts would tend to tear thru it.

Yakima racks work fine. You can get mounts that bolt to the top and have a plate to back them. I have used one for years for skis.
