I need a small amount of the seat upholstry material to repair the driver's seat in my new Bronco. It's a 1996 XLT with the dark blue interior. The passenger seat and the bench seat are perfect but the seat part of the driver's seat is worn bad. All the upholstry shops say the material is discontinued so I'm hoping sombody out there has a seat they have they have replaced or a bench they have just discarded that I could buy the cover. All I need is enought to cover the top of the seat bottom. It's the checked or herringbone or whatever you call it. The multi-colored part not the solid blue. Thanks.

I don't know that this actually qualifies as help since I don't have any of the material you're looking for, but, what I would suggest would be to check you local salvage yards for similar vintage Broncos & F-trucks. The F-trucks had the same upholstry colors & patterns so they'll match and if you find a bench seat you'll have more than enuf. I wouldn't waste any time calling around since they're not likely to botrher looking for something like this and will just tell you that they don't have it, you'll have to go & poke around yourself but you should be able to find something. If you're in an absolute bind try Jeff's Bronco Graveyard & maybe they can send you a patch from a seat that's too messed up for them to sell. Just my thoughts on it.
