Allright.. here is the issue.. I bought a Bronco 2 as my daily driver. It had what im guessing is called the gkn conversion? It has the cv type u joints.. anyways.. My boot on the last one was bad and i didnt know it when i bought it.. the driveshaft went out. Now every auto parts place I go.. there driveshafts will not fit. Autozone had one for 600 dollars that said it would replace the cv type.. but I only paid 600 for the truck so i would not like to have to do that. After trying about 4 other driveshafts I went to a junkyard. found the cv type in a 89 b2. manual trans. 4wd just like mine. it had a tore boot as well.. so i pulled it apart put on a universal cv boot filled it with grease and put it up.. well its to short. the ball part is pulled out.. I dont know if they used a different tranny in 89 or what that may be throwin this off. so im having a machine shop make me about a inch and half spacer for it.. but does anyone know where i can get a driveshaf that actually fits?
