hei and what will i need to do to install

im buying an hei distributor to make things much simpler on timing and to upgrade because the person who owned the truck before let the dist. seize to the block. i was wondering if anyone else had done the hei switch to a 1979 with a 351m i just need to know if its easy or hard and if i need new wiring or its just plug in and go?? would appriciate help
