Ok I probably am going to sound like an idiot so here it goes. How the F..... do you get that dang heater core out of the heater box? Do I need to pull the hole dash off to get that box to come all the way apart or what. I am hoping there is a better fix.

Just to let you know I have disconnected the hoses and all the screws that hold the box together, I think. I have got the box to seperate a little but I guess not enough to get the core out of the box. Thing is really being a pain in the rear.

Any help would be apprecitated.

there should be four screws that hold the assembly together. after you remove the hoses, i think there are rubber pads that have to be removed from core. after you disconnect the hoses and the fresh air inlet, the heater should rest on floor. you said that you think that you got all the screws, did you remove the star washers too? (behind the nuts on dash). disconnect the wiring and cables from assembly and you should be able to get to the core.

Actually..,

There's 4 studs that go thru the firewall....once removing the nuts.., (fr. under the hood) the whole box will drop.

Remove the sheet-metal screws & remove the back plate.

There's your core.... ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
