I HAVE AN 89 THAT I JUST TOOK THE TOP OFF OF FOR THE FIRST TIME. A HANDFUL OF TRIM SCREWS AND 13 HEX HEAD BOLTS. AS FAR AS I KNOW THE NEWER BRONCS ARE SIMILAR, EXCEPT MAYBE A DISCONNECT FOR THE THIRD BRAKE LIGHT. PRETTY SIMPLE JOB. TOOK LESS THAN 1 HOUR. THE THING ONLY WEIGHS ABOUT 120 POUNDS, BUT TWO OR THREE GUYS MAKES IT EASIER. GOOD LUCK. ITS MORE FUN TO DRIVE NOW B)

our pal has a detailed diy;

Top Removal w/Tool List, & Security Torx bolt replacement w/Metric sized bolts (5 8x70mm 1.5 Pitch Metric Bolts & 12 8x45mm 1.5 Pitch Metric Bolts) 80 - 96 by Froggmann (Ken P) at froggmann.com

For some reason, Ken's site does not show his pics

take time removing the trim "buttons"; they tend to crack; we use an old fork to pry them off.

Some one man removal info:

I just bought a 5/16 bit for my drill to take out all the bolts. Muchhhhhhhhhh quicker than doing it all by hand.
