Hi Old Bronco Dudes

I have restored 70 sport wagon with a 302 that I want to start doing a little more off roading with.

The Fishing hole I want to get to has some perty steep hills that make my current Holley 2 brl. starve for fuel or vapor lock or somthing. I have to back down to a level spot, restart the engine then go again. Is there a better brand or type of 2 brl carb for steep off roading than a stock type Holley?

Hay Mike..,

Holleys W/O the "off-road" kit will (sometimes) flood on inclines.

I know they have the kits for the 4brl. ......, sooooo.., I'm thinking it works in the 2brl as well.

---If that's a Holley on there., I doubt it's "stock"-----

Contact summitracing.com --or-- Holley direct.

Had that same (Holley) carb. on my '76 Landcruiser & it was un-stoppable. (up., down., sideways, etc.)

The stock Ford (Motorcraft) 2brl. works good also...I've had many & they never let me down. >

take that Holley & throw it in the garbage. Go back to the original FoMoCo carb if you take your EB off road in any capacity. They are nothing but a boat anchor. I had one years ago & it almost cost me my life on a steep incline. I have nothing good to say about Holley for off road. Road vehicles, I have no problem with them, but off, throw them in the dumpster.

If you can't find an original carb, look into getting a Carter or an Edelbrock. They are better designed for offroad.
