okay, so everytime i go step into my baby i always check the gas gauge. seeing how the prices today when it comes to a gallon a gas is going threw the roof, i always try to do everything i have to do i one run, such as getting gas <_< but i notice that when my bronco is not running the gas gauge is reading that have approxitly 3 to 4 more gallons in it before i start her up. my question is which one is my true reading, the one before it starts running or when it when its running?

Notice: these tests were performed on leveled surfaces.

yo

when its running

As long as it doesn't Peg past empty or full when powered it's good.

But if you seeing it float at idle on level grnd (thnx for incl. that in your Q!) and stationary for a min or so...there prob is a pin-hole leak in da sending unit's float

please insert your bronco's year, engine/tranny type etc in your signature for a better reply in future
