Gas Gauge not working

i have a 1986 Fullsize Bronco 5.0, And my gas gauge just stoped working. What could it be? Has anyone had to problem yet?

It could be a couple of problems.

1. The connector came off at the tank

2. The sender unit crapped out

3. A connection between the gauge and the sender went bad

4. The ground for the sender is bad

You need to crawl under the truck with a multimeter and the key in ACC position and check the connector for voltage on one pin (about 5 volts). Check the other pin for a good ground with the ohms scale. If they check out clean and reconnect to the sender, (maybe the connector wasn't making good contact). If you still get no reading, the sender is probably bad.
