Fuel Pump

Okay, I have a 90 Bronco with a 351. When I turn the key to the on position I have always heard what I think is the fuel pump running and after a few seconds it would shut off. The other night I went to start it...its been about a year since I have started it and the fuel pump came on but would not shut off and the truck would not start.

Any suggestions?

Unhook the battery, re-hook it up and try again. See what happens.
