Fuel problem

I have a 74 ford bronco and having a problem related to the fuel system. While driving on the highway i lost power with no response to the throttle. There is no fuel being delivered to the carbuerator and wondering where the fuel filter is located on the early bronco main tank. Is it connected to the pickup line in the tank and how do i remove the fuel pickup line? Do i have to remove the tank from the bronco first before i can access? If you can think of any other possible problem relating to me not receiving fuel at the carb please let me know. Thank you

Normally on the frame just below the fuel pump...but could now be anywhere between carb & tank.

NO

"how do i remove the fuel pickup line?"

There's a locking ring (front of tank) holding the sender plug connector/fuel P/U tube. tap it counter clockwise using the 4 notches.

You'll need the tank low., or empty.

R/U sure it's a fuel issue.? (a shot of either in the carb will varify)

Prob. cause;

plugged fuel line.

plugged switching valve.

Stuck check-valve in fuel pump.

Jammed needle & seat in the carb fuel in-let.

Plugged main jets

I would test the pump 1st.

Then blow air back thru the line fr. fuel pump inlet hose (or the filter) & see if it bubbles in the tank.

I doubt it's JUST the filter.

trev- look to see if fuel filter is directly in front of carb.
