the gas leak in underneath the driverside before the high pressure pump, what ever the filter like thing is it is being protected by the cover that goes from one side to another there the steps connect too....not sure what it is....im hoping its just the hoses are bad

is this common at all?

does anyone have idea about what that thing is?

a little bit of insight that might help....im having problems with the fuel pump staying on after i turn the bronco off, i pop the hood and tap the relay and it turns off so i think its the relay but the fuel pump staying on has killed my battery twice....so maybe that pressure ruined a seal?

what is that filter thing!!!!

That is prob da filter

Look at this; it is the fuel filter

To pull da filter;

Instructions, Using Scissors Type

Get the scissor type tool at any parts store, about $12.00

Some don't bother w/releiving fuell pressure as Ian did; just make sure engine is cold, wear safety glasses and no smoking; have rags ready. Sometimes just a little fuel leaks out..other times...

get a new relay; they do hang up and be ready to clean the relay's socket; they corrode, a common problem.
