Okay, another of the many problems I'm having is a hard / constant stumble under light throttle while cruising. It's most obvious on the highway. In fact, it seems like the truck will just stall if I don't stay on the throttle. From all the investigating that I've done, I am leaning toward the belief that the floats are just getting fllooded.

I'm running a brand new Demon 525 cfm Street Demon wtih vacuum secondaries and electric choak. I've heard from many people, and a couple speed shops, that BG carbs **** and always have problems out of the box.

When I look at the sight windows: the rear one has fuel about 1/2 up the window. The front one is usuallly full, right to the top.

Any thoughts on this issue? If you agree that it could be flooded floats, how do I go about correcting the problem?? (I know little about carb other than the basics as to how they work; so, I would need detailed step by step stuff). Otherwise, I'll just buy a HOlly and bolt it on.

Thanks in advance!

Barry Grant's website has downloadable manuals for the carbs... ( I was curious for myself, having never tuned a Demon)

Fairly easy to understand, follow the step by step instructions, they should get you where you need to be.

The rear float is probably correct, or at least close, the front will need to be adjusted.

Good luck.

Thank. That sounds like a plan. I only don't know crap about carbs because I've never done it. I've alway just given the car to my tuner. However, will all the problems that keep coming up, I would put my mechanic in a new tax bracket.

UPDATE: yes, the fuel is always right at the very top of the sight glass on the primary side. In fact, it's really above it. YOu can only see fuel if your rock the truck back and forth. I've tried every manner of idle adjustment and accelerator pump tweaking. The stumble is either flooded floats or too small jets. My tuner is famous for going too lean so as to impress your with the accelleration. Let me get the float level ironed out and then see what problems are still there. I bet I'll have to go to larger jets.

Thanks
