95 xlt, 5.8, efi,

i recently replaced my evr/vacuum solenoid. after looking at a few pics online, i think mine was installed upside down. does anyone know if this will affect anything as long as the two vacuum lines are connected to the right port?

Nope, shouldn't effect it at all, don't sweat it. You might want to flip it over next time you're changing something under the hood & have a wrench in your hand *anyways* but it'll be fine until you get around to it.
