i am getting ready to rebuild my motor. right now it is a stock 302 i am wondering wheter it is better to bore it .030 over and leave everything stock or spend the cash and put a stroker kit in. i am looking for better mileage (i know it is a bronco) but something better then 6-8 mpg. i am also looking for a bit more power. my bronco is my daily driver and it may go off road on occasion but nothing extreme. any comments, help or part ideas would be appreciated.

A stroker kit isn't going to get you any amazing milage but a lot more power. Obviously ther are issues with that engine if all you get is 6 - 8 mpg, so rebuild or a new one is in line. Milage is not the big thing with Broncos, but 10 to 12 is typical with 17 - 20 by mainly reducing the load on the engine plus speed control.

Good luck,

:)>-
