Hey guys,

The driveshaft I bought just less than a year ago already has a torn boot that I didn't know about until it was too late, so it looks like i'm in for a new shaft soon. I was wondering if you guys know of anything I can do to improve the life of my driveshaft. Since I bought a new one, I've checked the rear boot for tears every time after offroading, but I guess I hit a stick in the road or something because the rear boot is torn again. Do you know if there is a tougher boot that I can get for it, or maybe a different driveshaft that dosn't have a rear boot?

I had this problem a few years ago. I tore through one boot, got a new shaft and the same thing happened. The shop new of an aftermarket drive that bolts in and eliminates the boot. That was about 7-8 years ago and it is still great. It was so long ago, I don't remember who makes it, but it beats having to grease the joint every 100 miles or so to keep limping on.
