ok, so I have another new to broncos question. I am still looking for the right bronco, and I am wondering about the doors. Are they removeable like a jeeps or do are the ones with no doors have the hinge pins out or what? Thanks and soory if this is a dumb question.

The original doors are not quick removeable like the jeeps, but 6 bolts on each side and you can have the doors off. (Lining them back up takes some time though). James Duff, Wild Child, and maybe others sell replacement door hinges that will allow quick removal like the jeeps.

The soft top doors require the fiberglass door inserts. I ordered the one piece (more expensive), but after receiving them, I wish I would have got the 2 piece.

You can also knock the hinge pins out, clean up the holes by running a drill through them and then putting a quick pin in. That is what I did 6 years ago and it works great.

Nope the quick pin was something that I did. Really simple to do. I took the hinges off the vehicle and then used an air hammer to knock the old pins out. Then I drilled them just slightly over the original size hole then found the correct size pins to put in and away I went.

All of them, 66-77, have fold down windshields. The early years, I think 66-69, had brackets on the hood to hold the windshield down and keep it from ratteling.

You can modify your stock door hinges to be removable. If you have any slop in the hinge its good to get the hinge pin rebuild kit from most Bronco vendors. All you have to do is cut off the top hinge knuckle (top hinge and bottom hinge) so the door can lift off. The pin is usually pressed into the bottom and top knuckle keeping the middle one loose so the door can pivot. Once the top knuckle is off the bottom knuckle is the only one holding the pin in place. With the door off the pin will be sticking up off the bottom knuckle so you can slide the door back on.
