I just bought a 1975 Ford Bronco yesterday. I love it but one of the things i am needing to fix right away are the doors. Neither one will open. I would like to fix this myself for the experience and to save some money. if anyone has any idea how to do this i am willing to listen.

I also noticed that the rear diff. is leaking slowly. is this something that is a major job to fix? Thanks for the help.

Where is the rear diff leaking from? If it is from the yolk then you got a pinion seal that is shot & needs to be replaced. Take it and have it done, that is money well spent.

As for the doors, you are gonna have to take them apart. you need to get inside the door and release the latch mech. If you get the arm rest off, take the handle flap off & use a screwdriver to lift the metal rod that the flap is under. If that doesn't work then take the panel off and reach in there and the rod that is going up to the door handle, lift up on it. The lock mechinism is pretty simple & can be pulled out & reinstalled in less that 30 minutes if you know how to use a ratchet & a screwdriver.

Thanks I appreciate the help. I got the door latch off and it looks like i am lucky enough to get to replace both of them seeing that they are broken.
