Hey,

I took mine off a couple months back , heres the thread i think this will work http://broncozone.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=6997

Basically you just have to take off the pannels by your feet to get at the disconnects for the pw/pl to which the plastic harnesses are a pain and I ended up breaking the clips off them but its no big deal they hold together fine. Then you just use a socket wrench and take off 4 bolts on each door and pull it off.

It doesn't take that long or is very hard to get them off but it is kind of annoying getting them back on. It's not quick as you have to align them right and to do so you really need more than one person to do it or some kind of hoist or its almost impossible.

The best advice I can give is when you take off the doors is if you want to do it again drill through the hinges and go buy a few bolts from home depot and put those in place so once you get the doors back on if you want to take em off you can just slip the bolt out real quick and not have to worry about aligning them again.

I've been meaning to do that for some time but have just been buzy. I'm thinking of just taking the speakers out of the doors and putting some tweeters or something inside the cab so i'll always have some sound up front and wont have to disconnect those every time. Hopefully Ill get a chance to work on it this weekend

Oh one last thing,

when you take the doors off the car thinks the door is always open and the interior light will be on because the little button up near the hinges will constantly be sticking out without a door there to compress it. What I ended up doing was just drilling a hole right next to it and screwed in a bolt/washer to push the button in and hold it. You have to do something along those lines because it is too heavy to tape or use anything light like that

Good advice!!! I pulled out the fuse (#8) for the dome light to defeat the "open door" syndrome, until finally taking out the whole dome light and headliner. Riding without doors is fun, but wear a seatbelt or use some tube doors. I made mine from the spare tire carrier, JSM84

Thanks alot! In the related post it seemed that someone makes tube doors. I just did a google search and looked around jeff's bronco graveyard but I didn't see any. So if someone makes them what is their name? Thanks.

Check with Advanced Offroad Research or Schaffer's, or look for their links on 4wheeloffroad.com

They make tube doors for Toyota trucks, don't know if they do Ford's. I built my own tube doors from the outside spare tire rack, found the link to an article in "Miesk5 Homepage" (See tech articles forum for the link). I had pics and text at superford.org but those were lost when the site went down. I'll post them back up, JSM84
