Still trying to decide what to do for an engine replacement.

I have an almost new Pertronix distributor on my 302. Will it work on a 351W if I decide to go that route?

No, the distributors from the 302 / 351's will not interchange. Some aftermarket distributors offer an adjustable collar to make up the difference for the deck heights, but I am not sure if Petronix does that or not. Hope that helps you out some.

If I remember correctly the 351w also has a bigger oil pump driveshaft than a 302. Maybe someone else can verify this.

Yes the only real difference is the oil pump drive hex 1/4 for the 302 and 5/16 for the 351W . Not interchangable even though it will fit in the block . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
