Denver EB mechanic?

Going to be picking up a 71 Bronco from a friend of mine in the Denver area. He inherited the truck and isn't much of a mechanic type. Everything I know about the truck sounds good except he says he has trouble finding the gears when he drives it (not far). Not sure if this is a problem with the rig or his lack of experience with a manual tranny. Has a 302 with a 3 speed on the floor. I wondered if anyone knew of a EB type mechanic in the Denver area I could get it checked out at to be sure before I hit the road.

Also, does anyone know how much it weighs in case trailering/towing is my only option? It's stock as far as I can tell from pictures.

As far as weight goes, plan on 4500 lbs and that will do you fine.

I might check the clutch adjustment for those tough gears, if that doesn't help then it sounds like the tranny needs rebuilding.
