My alternator light has been flashing off and on now for around a week. Today I parked the truck and went back to it later and it was dead, I'm assuming its because the alternator is done. I plan to pull it and have it tested at the local auto parts store. I'm curious what the options are for replacing it? I've read some stuff about 3G's? Fill me in! Thanks

Repacements are pretty cheap if i remember right about a hundred bucks. You could try to change the brushes in yours, thats only like 5 bucks.
